Your first visit to Eye Care Queensland is a comprehensive evaluation that will take about one and a half hours. Your visit may take longer if you need specialised testing or have complex eye problems.

CLICK FOR MORE INFODrops may be used to dilate your pupils during your consultation. These drops will blur your eyes, affecting your near vision. It may take approximately two hours for your vision to return to normal. We suggest you avoid driving during this time and recommend you have someone drive you home, or take public transport. Sunglasses will help to minimise the glare caused by dilated pupils.

Dr Rowan Porter has access to intermediate surgery through the Prince Charles Hospital which is an excellent and very affordable option to access consultant sub-specialist eye surgery without insurance.
